At Sai Group, we prioritize safeguarding the environment, the well-being of our employees, and the community where we operate. Our company policy revolves around consistently enhancing our business operations to minimize our ecological footprint by conserving energy and water, reducing waste production, recycling, and limiting the use of hazardous materials. Our objective is to achieve environmental excellence and prevent pollution while complying with environmental regulations. Furthermore, we strive to purchase products with higher recycled content, lower toxicity, and minimal packaging to promote the conservation of natural resources.

Introduction

The objective of this policy is to ensure that all products and services acquired or contracted by our company align with our environmental policy. Our goal is to prioritize environmentally friendly products and services whenever possible to fulfill our office and operational requirements. In addition, we will give preference to suppliers who are committed to enhancing their environmental performance, offering environmentally preferable products, and can provide evidence of the supply chain impacts resulting from their efforts.

Act 1: Conscious procurement

We will prioritize the procurement of products and services that possess the following environmentally sustainable characteristics, provided that they meet acceptable standards for price, quality, and delivery and wherever possible, purchasing decisions will favor suppliers that:

Reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Manufacture with renewable energy.
Reduce pollution from all discharges (releases to air, water, and land).
Conserve water and are energy efficient.
Minimize transportation (local sources, concentrated products).

Products and services that are environmentally sustainable and equivalent in quality to their conventional counterparts will be given priority during the procurement process. If the most environmentally preferable product is not available or feasible, we will consider alternative options, such as the production methods and the environmentally and socially responsible management practices of suppliers and producers. Our commitment to environmentally preferable purchasing is a part of our long-term environmental strategy. By communicating our commitment to producers and suppliers, we hope to encourage the wider adoption of environmentally sustainable products and practices.

The Environmental Sustainability Product Evaluation Form is a tool designed to evaluate products based on their eco-friendliness and sustainability. The form assesses products based on various criteria

Maximizes post-consumer recycled content.
Minimizes packaging and other wastes.
Zero toxicity.
Durable/Reusable
Are more locally available to minimize transportation.
Are made from sustainably produced materials.
Are compostable or biodegradable.
Conserves energy, water and other natural resources

By evaluating products using this form, the management can make informed decisions about the environmental impact of our newly introduced products. The form provides a comprehensive and structured way to assess the sustainability of products, and the results can be used to identify areas for improvement and to encourage our partners to adopt more sustainable practices.
